(Akhlaq hamlatul-Quran) The Ethics of the Bearers of the Qur’an,” authored by Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Hussein al-Ajurry al-Baghdadi (died 360 AH), is an Islamic book focusing on the etiquette of reciting the Holy Qur’an and its reader. The book emphasizes the morals of Qur’an bearers and the reciter. It includes chapters covering topics such as the virtues of Qur’an bearers, the merits of learning and teaching the Qur’an, and the etiquette of reading, in addition to mentioning morals that Qur’an bearers should avoid, like arrogance and hypocrisy. The book is characterized by its logical sequence, simplicity, clarity, and bases its content on the Qur’an, Sunnah, and the sayings of the Companions and Successors.
