Introduction What is the programme?
The Alimiyyah programme on Madinah College Portal is a structured course that allows students to follow a methodology of seeking knowledge in stages, as laid out and traversed by the scholars. A student who studies the Alimiyyah programme is on a path to learning and understanding the religion from the ‘Ulema, the scholars, who the inheritors of the prophets.

The programme offers three levels of Islamic studies. Level 1 (Foundations) covers essential texts like Al-Bayquniyyah (Hadith), Al-Usul Al-Thalathah, and Umdatul-Fiqh (Taharah/Salah). Level 2 (Intermediate) builds on this with Kitab Al-Tawhid, Al-Waraqat (Usul al-Fiqh), and Al-Aqidatul-Wasitiyyah, alongside guidance on seeking knowledge. Level 3 (Advanced) delves into specialised topics such as Kitab Al-Buyoo’ (Fiqh of Transactions), Al-Aqidah Al-Tahawiyyah, and Jarh Wa Ta’deel (Hadith Sciences), offering a comprehensive and advanced study path.

Professor of Islamic Law at Qaseem Islamic University
He is from the most senior students of Shaykh Uthaymeen and has authored many books on various topics, especially Fiqh and Aqeedah. He is a regular teacher in the Haram Makkah Al Mukaramah. The Shaykh has authored many books in Fiqh, ‘Ahkaam al-‘Itikaaf’ , ‘Ahkaam al-Zakat’ and undertaken checkings of Sharh Umdatul-Fiqh’ are just a few of them. Â
Academic Advisor of Madinah College
Shaykh Faisal Al-Jasim is Madinah College Academic Advisor and the head of the Alimiyyah Programme. The Shaykh is a Khateeb, Imam and teacher in a Jaami in Kuwait. The Shaykh has authored many books and is a specialist in the subjects of Islamic Creed (Aqidah) and Methodology (Manhaj)
Professor Usul al-Deen Imam bin Saud University
The Shaykh has a BA in Shariah from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University & a MA and PhD in Aqidah. He has been a University lecturer for over 20 years and has authored many works. The Shaykh was appointed Head of Aqidah Department in 1425 AH & appointed Dean of the Faculty of Usool al-Deen in 1428 AH
Qasim University Professor in Fiqh & Usul
The Shaykh is a professor of Islamic Law at Qaseem Islamic University. He is from the students of Shaykh Uthaymeen and has authored books on various topics, especially Fiqh.
(Kuwait University Professor in Comparative Fiqh)
He is the head of Department of Comparative Fiqh. He holds a BA, MA and PhD from the Islamic University of Madinah. He specialises in Fiqh Al-Maqarin (Comparative Fiqh) and contemporary Financial Transactions.
Shaykh Haytham Ibn Muhammad Sarhan (May Allah preserve him) is known for his great efforts in teaching Aqeedah and other Islamic sciences in Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah. He is known and recognized by the scholars, and his teaching method is unique amongst the scholars; focusing on memorization, small groups of students and constant assessments and examinations.
