Nukhbatul-Fikr is an introductory text by the illustrious scholar Imām Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī. It is commonly used to introduce beginning students of knowledge to the science of hadith and its associated terminologies.

This text summarises more complex works from its time, explaining the detailed rudiments of hadith nomenclature and its systematic application.
