Poem on Wisdom & Morals (Qasidah ‘Unwan al-Hikam)

Qasidah ‘Unwan al-Hikam, written by the famous scholar and poet al-Busti, is a short yet profound poem consisting of over 50 lines. The poem provides a collection of moral aphorisms and wise teachings on the importance of good character (akhlaq) and the purification of the heart. Through its concise verses, it emphasizes key aspects of personal development, ethical conduct, and spiritual growth. This course will explore the deep meanings within each line of the poem, helping students understand and apply its lessons to their lives.

AbdulWahid Stephenson has over 15 years teaching experience and has studied Islamic Jurisprudence at the prestigious Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia. He is the founder of Madinah College and Insight into Islam. He is also a Khateeb and has delivered talks at several universities and Islamic centres.
