This short course explores Lumaʿat al-Iʿtiqād (The Illuminating Creed)—a foundational text in Sunni creed authored by Imām Ibn Qudāmah رحمه الله. The work presents a clear, concise, and authentic outline of the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamāʿah, firmly rooted in the Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf.

Taught by Shaykh Ibrāhīm Ibn ‘AbdiDhāhir, this course aims to strengthen certainty in core matters of ‘aqīdah, remove doubts, and cultivate a sound and balanced belief free from theological speculation and innovation.

Students will learn:

• The key principles of Sunni creed as outlined in Lumaʿat al-Iʿtiqād

• The correct belief regarding Allah’s Names and Attributes without distortion or denial

• The stance of Ahl al-Sunnah on īmān, Qadr (divine decree), and the unseen

• How the Salaf approached creed with clarity, submission, and textual evidence

• Common deviations in ‘aqīdah and how this text safeguards against them

• Practical benefits of sound belief on worship, character, and steadfastness

The course is delivered by Shaykh Ibrāhīm Ibn ‘AbdiDhāhir Ibn Muḥammad Ibn Nūr (Abū Muslim), a graduate of Umm al-Qurā University, Faculty of Sharī‘ah and Islamic Studies. Having studied fiqh, ‘aqīdah, and hadith under recognised scholars in both the UK and Saudi Arabia, and holding multiple ijāzāt, the Shaykh presents this classical text with clarity, relevance, and fidelity to the methodology of the Salaf.

An ideal course for anyone seeking a clear, authentic, and illuminating introduction to Islamic creed.
