This programme settles the doubts before you start. You learn why you’re seeking knowledge, then how to seek it properly, following the stages the scholars laid out. From your intention through to Hadith, Fiqh, Aqeedah and Tawhid, you study the religion the way the ‘Ulema did
You’ll start with a course on sincerity first, this will be your pillar, your guiding light. From there, you’ll move onto the Alimiyyah programme.
Sincerity and Intention (Ikhlas): Get to the heart of why you’re seeking knowledge in the first place. Learn how to study for the sake of Allah alone, not for status or personal gain.
Level 1 (Foundations): covers essential texts like Al-Bayquniyyah (Hadith), Al-Usul Al-Thalathah, and Umdatul-Fiqh (Taharah/Salah).
Level 2 (Intermediate): builds on this with Kitab Al-Tawhid, Al-Waraqat (Usul al-Fiqh), and Al-Aqidatul-Wasitiyyah, alongside guidance on seeking knowledge.
Level 3 (Advanced): delves into specialised topics such as Kitab Al-Buyoo’ (Fiqh of Transactions), Al-Aqidah Al-Tahawiyyah, and Jarh Wa Ta’deel (Hadith Sciences), offering a comprehensive and advanced study path.

 Fasting (Sawm): Explore the rules of fasting during the month of Ramadan, including the conditions for validity, exceptions and the etiquettes of fasting.
Hajj and Umrah: Learn the steps and conditions for performing the pilgrimage (Hajj) and lesser pilgrimage (Umrah) in the Hanbali school.
Commercial Transactions and Contracts: Gain insights into the basic principles of Islamic commercial law, including buying and selling, contracts, and other financial transactions.

What Qualifications Do Students Receive?
Students receive a certificate for each course they complete and pass. Each certificate is recognised throughout the United Kingdom. To earn one, you request to sit an online exam after finishing the course. Your paper is marked manually and results are sent to you by email.
This isn’t a tick-box exercise. The exams test whether you’ve actually understood the material, not just memorised it. That’s what gives the certificate its weight and why it’s recognised.

Professor of Islamic Law at Qaseem Islamic University
He is from the most senior students of Shaykh Uthaymeen and has authored many books on various topics, especially Fiqh and Aqeedah. He is a regular teacher in the Haram Makkah Al Mukaramah. The Shaykh has authored many books in Fiqh, ‘Ahkaam al-‘Itikaaf’ , ‘Ahkaam al-Zakat’ and undertaken checkings of Sharh Umdatul-Fiqh’ are just a few of them. Â
Academic Advisor of Madinah College
Shaykh Faisal Al-Jasim is Madinah College Academic Advisor and the head of the Alimiyyah Programme. The Shaykh is a Khateeb, Imam and teacher in a Jaami in Kuwait. The Shaykh has authored many books and is a specialist in the subjects of Islamic Creed (Aqidah) and Methodology (Manhaj)
Professor Usul al-Deen Imam bin Saud University
The Shaykh has a BA in Shariah from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University & a MA and PhD in Aqidah. He has been a University lecturer for over 20 years and has authored many works. The Shaykh was appointed Head of Aqidah Department in 1425 AH & appointed Dean of the Faculty of Usool al-Deen in 1428 AH
Qasim University Professor in Fiqh & Usul
The Shaykh is a professor of Islamic Law at Qaseem Islamic University. He is from the students of Shaykh Uthaymeen and has authored books on various topics, especially Fiqh.
(Kuwait University Professor in Comparative Fiqh)
He is the head of Department of Comparative Fiqh. He holds a BA, MA and PhD from the Islamic University of Madinah. He specialises in Fiqh Al-Maqarin (Comparative Fiqh) and contemporary Financial Transactions.
Shaykh Haytham Ibn Muhammad Sarhan (May Allah preserve him) is known for his great efforts in teaching Aqeedah and other Islamic sciences in Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah. He is known and recognized by the scholars, and his teaching method is unique amongst the scholars; focusing on memorization, small groups of students and constant assessments and examinations.Â
Course Requirements
You do not need any prior knowledge of Arabic or fiqh to take this Hanbali fiqh course. It has been designed for complete beginners, so you can follow the lessons even if you have never studied Arabic, Islamic law or Hanbali fiqh before.
To benefit properly, we recommend setting aside weekly study time, taking notes and revising each lesson before moving on.
Can Women Take This Course?
Yes, women can take this course. Seeking Islamic knowledge has never been exclusive to men. The Prophet’s (ï·º) own wives were among the greatest teachers of the religion. Aisha (رضي الله عنها) alone narrated over 2,000 hadiths and companions sought her out for rulings.
That tradition hasn’t changed. Women have always been students and scholars of Islam, and this programme carries that forward. Whether you’re starting from scratch or correcting your foundations, you’ll find the material just as relevant.
